Since 2012, TCF has partnered with Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke to provide girls aged 10 to 16 with opportunities to strengthen their communication and leadership skills. This program, ongoing for the past few years, helps participants build valuable skills, confidence, and abilities that will benefit them for years to come.
Thanks to the generous support of the Toronto-Calcutta Foundation, Women’s Habitat has been able to continue offering the “Girlz Space Leadership Camp.” This program provides a nurturing and safe space for girls to explore, develop, and practice new skills while feeling accepted, respected, and included. The girls, aged 10 to 16, come from families facing significant daily challenges. For many, this camp is their first experience riding the subway or exploring the attractions of Toronto. Women’s Habitat expressed their gratitude, saying, “The support of TCF has made the leadership camp at Women’s Habitat possible since 2012. Without TCF’s assistance, we wouldn’t be able to offer this opportunity to the girls. We are deeply thankful for the lasting impact of TCF’s contributions and the success stories they’ve helped create at Women’s Habitat.”
